What to Expect

Who is FBC? We are sinners saved by grace; imperfect people living in an imperfect world, serving a perfect God. We praise Him for His Amazing Grace! Our mission is to make Christ known by evangelizing the lost and discipling the saved. We function under four areas of church life - we grow warmer through fellowship, deeper through discipleship, stronger through ministry, and larger through evangelism.

We have one purpose at FBC, and that is to worship Jesus. We do that through music, preaching, Scripture reading, and prayer time.

The music style falls under one of three categories: it's either about God, to God, or about who we get to be because of Jesus.  You'll find a mixture of hymns and upbeat praise music, led by piano, drums, and often times a brass ensemble.

All parts of our service are grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding. At FBC Norway, we strive to bring glory to God with everything that we think, say, and do. It's all about Jesus!

Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church,

we just ask that you wear clothes! Seriously, come as you are. God looks upon the heart of man, not at outward appearance (1 Sam 16:7). While a couple of folks in the church might be wearing a sportscoat or a tie, others like to come in blue jeans and a t-shirt.

When you walk in,

you'll notice that our church is not huge, but it is packed with loving people who truly care. As you enter the front of the church, the bathroom is to the left, the coat room is straight ahead, and the main entrance to the sanctuary is to the right.

Kids are welcome to stay in big church, but we do offer junior church downstairs. We'll dismiss the kids a few minutes after "big church" starts.

So, grab a bulletin and make yourself at home! The first place you choose to sit is already reserved JUST FOR YOU! While folks tend to sit in the same place, no seats are saved (but we are praying for them, lol!).

If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.  We have an elevator (lift), too.

During the service,

you'll hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, prayers we offer up and our pastor's preaching. All parts of our service are grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding. At FBC Norway, we strive to bring glory to God with everything that we think, say, and do. It's all about Jesus!

After the service,

Be sure to hang around after the service and join us for refreshments. When the weather is nice we'll enjoy fellowship outside, otherwise please take some time to visit after church downstairs. We'll have fresh coffee, juice or lemonade, and cookies/bars. Grab a snack and allow us a chance to meet you!
