Our worship reflects both reverence and joy, blending the rich heritage of traditional hymns with the energy of uplifting praise songs.
Music is led by piano, drums, and will often include a brass ensemble or a quartet of strings. Worship at FBC is designed to escort us into the presence of God with a heart of praise and thanksgiving.

How is FBC Structured?
The mission of FBC is to make Christ known
by evangelizing the lost and discipling the saved.
Our slogan is "Without Jesus, Nothing Else Matters!"
Our ministry efforts fall under one of these four categories:
Growing Warmer through Fellowship,
Deeper through Discipleship,
Stronger through Ministry,
and Larger through Evangelism.
What is the church polity?
We are pastor-shepherded, elder-led, deacon-served, deaconess-supported (no authority), and congregation-approved.
A Mission-Focused Church
FBC is a mission-minded church. We support ministries and missionaries all over the world.
Our local mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with a lost and dying world
in the Norway community and beyond (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).
Although we maintain our autonomy as a local church, FBC is aligned with
the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and the Baptist State Convention of Michigan (BSCM).

Our pastors preach from the Word of God, for the glory of God, and for the good of His people. Each message is Christ-centered, biblically grounded, and designed to encourage believers while calling them to grow in spiritual maturity through discipleship.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
They meet on Tuesday mornings from 10:00–11:30 AM in the downstairs Fellowship Hall at church.
Many of the ladies enjoy lunch together afterward, and you are welcome to join!
This Bible study is open to all women in the community. You do not need to be a member of First Baptist Church of Norway to attend.
The study is led by our Senior Pastor’s wife, Gayle Williamson, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education.
They just finished going through the Book of Acts and are now studying The Birth of Christ.
LIFE GROUPS
We offer four Life Groups (small groups) that meet on a biweekly schedule. All groups meet from 6:00–7:45 PM.
Wednesdays: Two groups meet on alternating weeks - one in Iron Mountain and the other just south of the fairgrounds in Norway. Both are led by Pastor David.
Thursdays: There are two groups that meet every other week. One meets at the church and the other group meets at the Pollards (North side of Norway). Both are led by Pastor Tom - contact him for details.
YOUTH GROUP
FBC offers a fun and interactive youth group designed to help students grow in their faith while building strong friendships. Our youth group meets every other Friday from 6:00 PM - 8:15 PM in the Fellowship Hall, located downstairs at the church.
NOTE: Check with Pastor Tom for location, as it varies from time to time.
Each gathering includes engaging activities, meaningful Bible teaching, and opportunities for students to connect in a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment.
Our goal is to help young people develop a growing relationship with Jesus while learning how to live out their faith in everyday life.
Students of all backgrounds are welcome (ages 13 and up), and prior church attendance is not required.
We invite you to join us and see how FBC’s youth group is helping the next generation grow in faith and community!
GET INTO GOD'S WORD!
SERMONS
Our pastors preach from the Word of God, for the glory of God, and for the good of His people. Each message is Christ-centered, biblically grounded, and designed to encourage believers while calling them to grow in spiritual maturity through discipleship.
We believe that God’s Word speaks clearly and powerfully to today’s world. Our senior pastor typically preaches through a book of the Bible, while Pastor Tom has been leading us through 1 Peter.
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Our Women’s Bible Study meets on Tuesday mornings from 10:00–11:30 AM. They meet in the Fellowship Hall (downstairs) at FBC.
They are currently going through a verse-by-verse study in the Book of Acts.
