Sunday morning worship begins at 10:02 AM. We'll have a mixture of hymns and praise songs led by piano, drums, and sometimes a brass ensemble. Join us this Sunday as we worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
We have a lot going on at FBC - opportunities to get involved.
Between the Sunday school hour (Sundays, 9:00 AM),
small groups, midweek Bible studies, and special outings,
you'll be blessed by getting involved.

Growth Equals Need and Need Equals Growth
As we grow in our faith, our hearts are stirred to serve. Spiritual maturity leads to new opportunities -
whether teaching, encouraging, leading, or simply lending a helping hand. Growth creates need, and FBC is growing!
But the inverse is also true. When needs arise in the church, they provide opportunities for growth.
Serving stretches our faith, strengthens our character, and deepens our walk with Christ. Need creates growth.
At First Baptist Church of Norway, we believe in both - growing disciples and serving together.
Where is God calling you to grow and serve today?
Looking for a Church Home?
Finding the right church is about more than just a place to attend - it's about finding
a community where you can grow, belong, and be part of something meaningful.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you'll find
a warm and welcoming community where you can feel at home.
Our worship blends the rich heritage of hymns with the energy of
uplifting praise songs, led by piano, drums, and even our brass ensemble.
Most importantly, our pastor preaches directly from the Bible,
offering practical insights that will encourage and challenge you
in your daily walk with Christ.
We would love for you to visit this Sunday -
come and see for yourself how FBC can be your new home!
How is FBC Structured?
The mission of FBC is to make Christ known
by evangelizing the lost and discipling the saved.
Our slogan is "Without Jesus, Nothing Else Matters!"
Our ministry efforts fall under one of these four categories:
Growing Warmer through Fellowship,
Deeper through Discipleship,
Stronger through Ministry,
and Larger through Evangelism.
What is the church polity?
We are elder led, deacon served,
and congregation approved (congregational).
We also have a team of ladies (called deaconesses) who serve faithfully,
but they do not hold an office of leadership.
A Mission-Focused Church
FBC is a mission-minded church. We support ministries and missionaries all over the world.
Our local mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with a lost and dying world
in the Norway community and beyond (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).
Although we maintain our autonomy as a local church, FBC is joined with
the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and the Baptist State Convention of Michigan (BSCM).
Mission Updates
FBC Norway not only supports both national and foreign missionaries through the SBC Cooperative Program,
we have several independent missionaries and missions groups that we continue to support.
Our kids have raised funds to purchase goats for Third-World countries, to help families in Ukraine,
to support the State Awana Missionary on a missions trip to Africa,
and to help fund local children's ministries.
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." (2 Tim 2:15, ESV).
Whether it is in a small group, a mid-week Bible study, or in a Sunday school class, we study the BIBLE.

GET INTO GOD'S WORD!
SUNDAY SERMONS:
Our pastor preaches from the Word of God, for the glory of God, and to the benefit of His people.
They are not only Christ-centered, they are uplifting and helpful to the believer today and
are focused on growing in spiritual maturity (discipleship).
Our pastor is currently preaching through the book of Colossians, which is highly relevant
as their world was much like how America is heading today.
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY:
Held on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 - 11:30 AM. downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.
They are almost done with the Gospel of Mark. They will be studying Jude next, followed by Acts.
You do not have to be a member of FBC to attend the Bible study!
These Bible studies are open to any woman in the area!
In other words, you do not have to be a member of FBC to attend. These are led by our Senior Pastor's wife, Gayle (BA Christian Education).
SMALL GROUPS:
We have four (4) small groups that meet biweekly - two on alternating Wednesdays
and two that alternate on Thursdays. They all meet from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
Wednesday: Iron Mountain and Norway south. These are led by our Senior Pastor.
Thursday: both meet on the north side of Norway, also on alternating Thursdays. These are led by our Associate Pastor.
All four small groups are studying 1 Peter. If you are interested in attending a small group, please contact Pastor David by email at David@FBCNorway.com.
